UPT TANDEM INSTRUCTOR COURSE
The UPT Manufacturer Rating (SIGMA) and the USPA Tandem Instructor Rating are normally taught together in one course. USPA requires that all Tandem Instructors also hold a manufacturer rating.
The requirements for both UPT and USPA ratings are slightly different so our course covers the requirements and syllabus needed for both.

COURSE LENGTH
This course typically takes 3-5 days to complete depending on the number of candidates and weather restrictions.
COURSE PRE-REQUISITES:
A Candidate may sign up for the Tandem Instructor Course if they have met the following Requirements:
-
Hold a USPA Coach Rating.
-
Hold a USPA D License.
-
Have logged 500 ram-air jumps.
-
A minimum of 3 years experience as a licensed skydiver.
-

In some cases, if the Candidate doesn’t require a USPA Tandem Rating, a UPT Rating can be issued with licenses equivalent to USPA. Please speak to us for details on this.
